Begur Indians Fair
History and tradition come together in this unique fair
Begur Indians Fair
The first weekend of September sees one of the Costa Brava’s most authentic fairs: the Begur Indians Fair, three days in which the inhabitants of Begur celebrate and commemorate the strong relationship that existed between Begur and Cuba, a result of the emigration of many of its residents to the Caribbean island throughout the 19th century. The fair offers an extensive programme of activities that includes exhibitions and talks, musical performances, workshops, displays of traditional crafts and the traditional Indians Market, where visitors can buy colonial and overseas products, such as coffee, rum and cocoa. An unmissable event.
